About Genethics
Genethics Pharmaceuticals Ltd. is a specialist drug manufacturing company providing quality medicines at affordable prices - A range of locally manufactured products accessible by all socio-economic groups. In 1991, we began operations at Lot 14 O'Meara Industrial Estate in Arima, in internationally designed facilities. Having satisfied World Health Organisation (WHO) and Pan American Health Organisation (PAHO) standards pertaining to the manufacture of medicines, the Company introduced a line of locally manufactured cough and cold preparations, along with analgesics and personal care products. Genethics has successfully positioned its products in the Trinidad and Tobago market.
Genethics starts with imported raw materials of either British Pharmacopoeia (B.P.) or United States Pharmacopoeia (U.S.P.) standards. The in-house Quality Assurance Division, with its stringent controls, ensures finished products of the highest international standards. These controls were developed from and adhere closely to the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) laid down by the WHO. The Genethics manufacturing facility is also monitored by the Trinidad and Tobago Food and Drug Administration to ensure that all procedures are implemented by its Quality Assurance Division.
The Genethics plant is equipped with analytical and microbial testing laboratories. In addition the company utilizes testing services of both the Trinidad and Tobago Testing Laboratories, a division of the Ministry of Health, and Cariri, located at the University of the West Indies.|
Our manufacturing facility is located on 100,000 square feet of land at the O'Meara Industrial Estate. The facility is designed to manufacture all pharmaceutical forms, i.e.: tablets, powders, creams, ointments and liquids. The technology also exists for the packaging of liquids in bottles of various sizes, tablet packaging in bottles or strips, and creams and ointments in jars, tubes or sachets.
